Essexville-Hampton Public Schools (E-HPS) is now accepting sealed bids for the replacement of Doors 6 and 7 at Verellen Elementary School located at 612 W Borton Ave, Essexville MI 48732. For the Hollow Metal Door and Sidelight Replacement (Doors 6 & 7): Removal and Disposal: o Remove and properly dispose of the existing hollow metal doors from the frames and sidelight. Supply and Installation: o Furnish and install a pair of doors and sidelight to match the previous configuration. o The doors shall be Fiberglass Reinforced Polymer (FRP), blue in color, with 8” x 34” vision lights in door 7 with solid door for door 6 (no vision glass). o Door hardware to be installed includes: Continuous hinges Rim panic exit devices (one of which is electric) Key entry LCN 4040 closers Keyed removable mullion Recessed pull handles Standard threshold For the Full Panel Door Replacement (Door 6 and Door 7): Removal and Disposal: o Remove and properly dispose of the existing hollow metal door and frame. Supply and Installation: o Furnish and install one new SPECIAL-LITE FRP door, color 5533 blue, to match the existing doors at this location. o Door hardware to be installed includes: Continuous hinges Rim panic exit devices LCN 4040 closers Keyed removable mullion Standard threshold o Note: The door is a full panel with no glass. General Requirements: Minor Paint Touch-up: o Perform minor paint touch-ups on both the interior and exterior areas around the door and frame as necessary to match existing finishes. All work shall comply with applicable local, state, and federal building codes. The contractor is responsible for ensuring the correct installation of doors and hardware, and for testing all components to ensure they operate as required (including panic exit devices and closers). The installation shall be completed with minimal disruption to the building and its occupants.
