Specifications include, but are not limited to: . General Duties/Deliverables: Region 3s LETPA Regional Information Coordinator/Solution Area Planner (RIC/SAP) shall serve to assist R3s LETPA Committee Chair and committee members in planning, organizing, structuring, preparing, submitting for approval and managing authorized LETPA project initiatives as approved by the Region 3 Homeland Security Planning Board and the Michigan State Police Emergency Management and Homeland Security Division. Such tasks shall include, but shall not be limited to: a. Facilitating regional law enforcement Information Sharing and Data fusion efforts. b. Facilitating and expanding regional Field Liaison Officer Training and coordination. c. Facilitating regional Improvised Explosive Device (IED) Training, coordination and response. d. Researching and preparing for publication, regional law enforcement and/or public safety cooperative plans of mutual aid and service response. e. Regularly vet and distribute the following information/communications: officer safety, investigative, intelligence, cyber security and critical infrastructure security information as provided by the Michigan Intelligence Operations Center (MIOC) and other Homeland Security/Emergency Management information providers. f. Work closely with and regularly communicate with the Michigan State Polices Region 3 District Coordinator. g. Prepare Region 3 LETPA Project Justification Forms (PJFs) and Actual Cost Justification forms (ACJs) for R3 Board approval and subsequent submittal to MSP-EMHSD. h. Organize and maintain an accurate and auditable accounting of LETPA projects, purchases, deliverables and finances. i. Regularly communicate with and assist Region 3 Law Enforcement agencies/representatives in facilitating investigative and/or communicative information with the MIOC. j. Regularly meet and communicate with regional, state and federal law enforcement, defense, emergency management and critical infrastructure officials/groups.
