Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor must: Assist in the development of the Request for Proposal(s) (RFPs) for the prisoner healthcare and pharmacy services. Review and research other states’ RFPs/contracts for prisoner healthcare and pharmacy services. Research emerging practices in correctional healthcare and explore models of treatment that are currently in place in the community and other states that can be adapted for the corrections setting. The Contractor must include identified pros and cons of the models, and success at achieving the desired aims or goals. Have healthcare and/or correctional healthcare expertise, including, but not limited to: Healthcare delivery methods; RFP and/or contract development; Developing models or standards to ensure accountability for staffing levels; Network development for inpatient and outpatient services; Behavioral health services; Pharmacy services; Utilization management & quality improvement; Claims analysis
