1. Section 1 - Project Requirements - PA System 1.1. Overview - Birch Run Area Schools is seeking pricing for a PA System with installation at their High School, Middle School, and Elementary School locations. The System should include the following: 1.1.1. Hybrid PA System Features as Required - All Schools 1.1.1.1. New runs of 4 conductor wire (one pair for speaker, one pair to be utilized for a call button later if needed) 1.1.1.2. District-wide notification capabilities for alerts and all call 1.1.1.3. New Speakers - Add Speakers as indicated in the provided diagram 1.1.1.4. New Head End – New Head End shall be in the school’s MDF and logical IDFS 1.1.1.5. The system should support analog and SIP connections for intercom access and management of future Analog and IP endpoints. 1.1.1.6. This system should have no recurring licensing or charge for standard firmware updates. 1.1.1.7. This system should not be proprietary. 1.1.1.8. Mandatory line item strobe pricing. 1.1.1.9. Alternate line item for RGB strobe pricing. 1.1.1.10. Alternate line item for Cellular input. 1.1.1.11. List warranty coverage of material and installation 1.1.1.12. Alternate line item for additional warranty coverage of material 1.1.1.13. Training of building administrators, secretarial staff, and technology staff should be included. 1.1.1.14. Proposals must include all materials, labor, installation, configuration, and training costs. 1.1.2. Birch Run High School Public Address System 1.1.2.1. It has been determined that the existing cabling is not suitable for reuse. 1.1.2.2. The existing head-end equipment shall be removed. 1.1.2.3. All cables are to be replaced, all speakers shall be tested and reconnected. 1.1.2.4. A new zone is to be installed to provide exterior public address horn coverage for the building exterior. This new zone shall be individually addressable, this will allow for inclusion and exclusion from bell schedules and configured all-call pages. 1.1.3. Birch Run Middle School Public Address System 1.1.3.1. It has been determined that the existing speakers and cabling are not suitable for reuse. 1.1.3.2. The existing head-end equipment shall be removed. 1.1.3.3. All cables are to be replaced, all speakers shall be replaced. 1.1.3.4. A new zone is to be installed to provide exterior public address horn coverage for the building exterior. This new zone shall be individually addressable, this will allow for inclusion and exclusion from bell schedules and configured all-call pages.
