The Village of Niles is seeking a qualified vendor to perform health inspections and related duties on behalf of the Village. Inspectors assigned to the Village will take direction from the Village’s Building Official or their designee. 1. Primary responsibilities will include: • Provide food preparation safety inspections to ensure compliance with all public health regulations and laws. Results must be electronically recorded within the software chosen by the Village of Niles within 12 hours of inspection (Approximately 635 annual inspections not including re-inspections) • Provide electronic plan reviews and building permit inspections for food and health requirements within the software chosen by the Village of Niles • Maintain a list of non-compliant food establishments. • Foodborne disease investigations; and general health complaints as required. • Inspect all special events (10 to 15 per year) as required to ensure food safety preparation. • After hours and or emergency service inspections as needed. • All administrative correspondence and paperwork to be entered into the Village’s software system (Energov software, ipads/tablets and computers) required upon inspection. 2. In the field, inspectors will wear Village of Niles identification badges visible during inspections
