Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The Professional Forester reviews tree related service requests utilizing RCKC’s Precision Road Software for follow up with the public and staff. Provides proper response according to RCKC policy and urban management guidelines and updates the response tab on the Precision Road Software service request system with that response. 2. The Professional Forester responds to questions from contractors, developers, engineers, road commission staff, and the public regarding tree related issues. 3. Maintains files and updates Superintendent as work progresses. 4. The Professional Forester inspects projects in progress and upon completion for tree related issues. 5. The Professional Forester researches, compiles, and documents information required for reimbursement, as applicable. 6. The Professional Forester performs fieldwork for the gathering of field information. 7. The Professional Forester inspects trees related to structural condition and makes recommendations for removal. 8. The Professional Forester performs special assignments as directed by the Managing Director, Engineering Department, Operations Director and/or Superintendents related to tree issues.
