Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Mt. Pleasant is requesting sealed bids for private uniformed security services. Theseuniformed security personnel will be assigned to the vacant Mt. Pleasant Regional Center propertylocated at 1400 W. Pickard, Mt Pleasant, Michigan 48858. This property was recently purchased by theCity of Mt Pleasant it consists of approximately 300 acres and numerous commercial type buildings. Bidprices must be held firm for 60 days so that the City has time to evaluate the bids, check references,obtain City Commission approval of the contract, and finalize the terms of the contract.The specifications for the scope of services which must be included in the bid are:The bid will be on a per hour basis per officer/agent be sure to indicate if different rates apply forholidays and what dates are considered holidaysThere will be one (1) uniformed officer/agent per shift the contractor can determine the number ofshiftsThe uniformed officer/agent must carry appropriate identification at all times during the assignedshiftThe bid must be based on an assumption of providing security services for 12 hours per night,seven (7) days per week *Security will be limited to the property and exterior of the buildingsA supervisor must be designated who will report to a designated member of the Mt PleasantPolice DepartmentA supervisor must be available during the entire shift by phoneAt a minimum, all buildings will be physically checked for security at the beginning of and prior tothe end of each shift and written documentation of the checks shall be madePersonnel must be capable of providing both foot and vehicle patrols
