Specifications include, but are not limited to: To guard property, grounds, equipment, buildings, lobby and parking lots against trespassing, vandalism, sabotage, fire and theft; to avert disorderly conduct and when necessary to detain apparent wrongdoer; to summon assigned law enforcement authorities when necessary; to exercise good judgment and discretion in dealing with the public in a polite manner; attend meetings as directed by IHC relative to providing the services required hereunder; and be prepared to testify in a court of law regarding incidents which may occur during a tour of duty, whether criminal or civil. Contractor’s guards shall guard all assigned Inkster Housing Commission (variously referred to herein as “IHC” or “Management”) buildings (interior and exterior) and grounds including parking lots and any other areas/locations under IHC’s jurisdiction. Security Contractor’s guards shall also be required to immediately verbally report any damage, safety or fire hazards to his or her supervisor, followed by a written report to the designated Management representative at the end of the tour of duty. At least one, appropriately trained, uniformed guard shall be stationed at each assigned building. IHC may modify this requirement based on the funding availability.
