Scope shall include the following: a. Evaluate capacity of the existing sanitary sewer in the Panhandle Area (See attached map). i. Conduct flow monitoring at key points in the system ii. Create a model of the Panhandle sewer system including all sewers 12” and larger. Select 8” or 10” sewer may also need to be included. Include Wyoming and Byron Township pump stations. iii. Create logical sub-areas to evaluate localized capacity limitations. b. Project future flow increases from anticipated development using the City’s land use plan and other data provided by the City. Include potential flow from neighboring communities based on information provided by the City. c. Evaluate likelihood and consequences of failure as sewer reaches capacity. d. Prepare recommended option(s) to increase capacity in the system. i. Recommendations should include enough detail to demonstrate that construction is feasible: evaluate any specialty construction methods required, permits needed, property rights needed, etc. ii. Prepare a budget level cost estimate. e. The City will provide GIS data, previous studies of this sewer system and any other information available.
