Michigan State University is looking to procure services with a PSTN provider to provide SIP based dial-tone services to MSU. Michigan State University is primarily located in East Lansing, Michigan and has campuses across the state including major facilities in Grand Rapids, Detroit and Flint. MSU runs an Avaya Aura 10.x based phone system with Avaya SBCE session border controllers for connectivity and has local dialtone facilities in East Lansing, Detroit, Grand Rapids and Flint. MSU supports phone service for several smaller offices and clinics across the state. MSU utilizes 5 full NXX exchanges (+1 517 432, +1 517 353. +1 517 884, +1 517 355) as well as various DIDs in other exchanges and area codes. In total, MSU currently has approximately 500 call paths to its phone system, has about 19,000 active DIDs and approximately 31,000 DIDs in reserve.
