Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Board of Water and Light operates out of a number of buildings and production facilities throughout the Lansing area. The contractor will provide overhead door services for the facilities listed. Scope of Work - The contractor will work with the facility manager to schedule and plan all work to reduce interference with building occupants. Repairs. The contractor shall keep an inventory of all critical parts. Repairs shall be completed within 24 hours of notice. Materials. The contractor shall provide all materials needed to execute repairs and installations. The contractor will minimize the use of toxic or hazardous chemicals. The contractor shall provide a list of chemicals to be used and provide SDS’s. Equipment. The contractor shall provide all tools necessary to work on overhead doors. Ladders or lifts shall be provided by the contractor. All equipment shall be removed from the site upon completion of the scheduled work. There will not be storage for any climbing or lifting equipment. The contractor shall follow OSHA and MIOSHA regulations when using ladders or lifts. Damage. Contractor will utilize industry best practices to prevent damage to structure, equipment, or surrounding area. Owner Furnished services. The contractor may use refuse containers provided on the various sites. Utilize dumpsters for normal work debris. Do not dispose of hazardous materials in dumpsters or drains. Hours of operation. The normal building hours of operation are 7:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. Buildings will be closed on the following public holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve. Orientation. All personnel must go through an orientation. Personnel that will be entering a power plant facility must go through additional natural gas awareness training prior to entering.
