Must be NCAA approved and AdvancEd accredited Curriculum must include 6-12 courses aligned to the Michigan State Standards for English language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, career and technical education, general electives and world languages Must have content for core courses aligned to Michigan Merit Curriculum. Advanced Placement courses must include English Language & Composition, English Literature & Composition, Environmental Science, Human Geography, Calculus AB, US Government & Politics, Psychology, Spanish Language & Culture, French Language & Culture, U.S. History, and World History. National Test preparation course options for ACT®, SAT®, PSAT®, ACCUPLACER®, HiSET®, TASC®, ACT WorkKeys®, GED®, and ASVAB. Must have dual credit course options which are ACE credit recommended. Provide content to support social-emotional learning and English Language Learners (ELL). Course options must include comprehensive core courses and prebuilt credit recovery and honors course versions for core subject areas. Direct instruction videos for every lesson presented via recorded video which utilize expert teachers modeling concepts. No off-line supplemental materials or texts required to cover instructional content for core content beyond College Board AP courses. Must use white boards, graphics and other visuals to illustrate instructional concepts. Interactive simulations and manipulative activities reinforce and extend lesson concepts. Provides multiple supports for ELL and special needs students including a translation and read-aloud tool which translates and reads aloud HTML text in multiple languages. Additional features to comply with WCAG AA standards is desired (i.e. keyboard navigation, alt. text, etc.). Courses must be customizable at both the course and individual student level, with options to add, remove, reorder, and author / insert content. Must provide options for both onsite and virtual professional development. Platform should support credit recovery students who can test-out to accelerate course completion. Platform should make good use of formative assessment (interim, formative, summative) and provide feedback to students. Platform should support robust, easy to use, progress monitoring and reporting to students, staff, and parents/guardians. Platform should autograde all assignments and update the gradebook. Platform should be browser based and support Chromebooks, PCs, Macs, and mobile devices. Platform should support a robust gradebook with alerts and progress monitoring. Preference will be given to vendors who can support a consortium (license or seat sharing across multiple districts). Ability to add districts and purchase additional licenses as needed over the course of the year. Preference will be given to vendors with positive customer feedback and strong quality control
