• Trailer Specifications o DOT-compliant towable trailer with lockable and/or removable tongue. A certificate of origin must be provided for state licensing. o Weather-resistant enclosure for electronic devices o Secured chassis, generator, batteries, and solar panels. • Leveling o Outriggers for leveling/stabilization. Four (4) leveling stands with locking mechanisms shall be installed on each corner of the chassis. • Mast o No sway, rigid steel mast that is either electric telescoping or hand crank. The length of the mast must be 15’ or taller. o The mast and camera/equipment configuration are customizable by the Kent County Sheriff’s Office. ▪ It would be preferred that the Mast has non-exposed internal cabling that can support 4-6 IP-based cameras of any brand. • If internal cabling cannot be accommodated, a robust cabling system that is contained and is resistant to wear and tear or damage would be required. • Weather Rating o The trailer, cameras, and mast must be weather rated to handle Michigan’s severe weather. This would include a mast that is rated for strong wind gusts and is completely waterproof. • Communications/Connectivity o Built-in Redundancy and the ability to connect the unit remotely. o 4G/5G cellular connectivity for live streaming and remote access. o Optional Wi-Fi and Ethernet connections. • Power o Solar Panels must be used as the primary power source. o Onboard batteries should provide 3-7 days of continuous, uninterrupted power. ▪ It is preferred that a backup uninterruptible power source (UPS) is used to recharge batteries during seasons when it is cloudy. • i.e. Propane, Diesel, Gas ▪ Auxiliary Power • The trailer should be equipped with an external 120V power connection for the ability to plug into site power to recharge batteries. • Camera Assembly o The camera assembly would need to support 4-6 IP-based cameras, in any combination of fixed, PTZ, or quad cameras. ▪ It is preferred that the cameras can be installed, replaced, or stowed by a single person. ▪ Camera assembly is robust enough to hand transport without being stowed, or simple enough to be removed and stowed within the trailer during transport.
