Specifications include, but are not limited to: • A full cost accounting application to include Bills of Materials and Job order costing; • Point of Sales (POS) solution; • Material requirements planning (MRP); • Inventory valuation for raw materials; • Work-in-Process and Finished Goods to include valuations for fixed and variable overhead; • A shopping cart order entry system; • The ability to maintain all accounting records and financial reporting; • Work flow and barcoding (with integrated scanners provided by the vendor); • Comprehensive technical support and system maintenance; • Training for Users that includes Administrator Training, New User Training, Security Training, and the option for customized training. MSI is seeking an innovative, dependable, well-maintained, and strongly supported right-fit ERP to support its manufacturing operation across all of its facilities. The MSI operation is wide and diverse and has a primary goal of providing inmates with opportunity. This can sometimes require a different focus than a manufacturing operation that targets out-producing their competition through speed-to-market and product consolidation. Responses to this RFI should take the nature of the MSI operation into account.
