Specifications include, but are not limited to: provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform the services as described in the specifications herein The described activities will be performed at the Grayling Army Airfield in Grayling, MI. The area to be mowed is the area within the airfield proper fence (does not include area between perimeter fence that runs along Old US 27 Business Loop and airfield proper fence). Within that area is approximately 644 acres of land. That total acreage count does not include solid surfaces such as runways, taxiways and aprons. Contractor is not required to mow in the densely treed area. Anticipated number of mowings is 3 during the season (one every 45 to 60 days). All work shall be done in accordance with all regulations governing the DMVA wherein the work is to be performed and with minimum possible interference with the proper functioning of the activities of the DMVA Grayling Army Airfield. Supplies, materials, equipment, etc. shall be confined so as not to unduly encumber the premises or cause. 1.1 Scope of Work Hours of service are between 7:15 a.m. and darkness or as determined by Camp Grayling Program Manager. On holidays, mowing shall be performed the next working day following the holiday. Federal holidays are as follows: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President’s Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Independence Day, Memorial Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. The number of weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or seasonal services needed are unknown, are weather and funding dependent. Camp Grayling is anticipating at least three mows. However, a service may be skipped or rescheduled periodically at the discretion of the Program Manager if deemed necessary due to weather conditions. The Program Manager will notify Contractor if scheduled service is not needed or should be rescheduled. However, it is the Contractors responsibility to determine, at the time of site arrival, if the grass height meets the standards detailed above for required mowing. Etc.
