IX. DESCRIPTION OF WORK SITES Site 1. The Marshall Athletic Field is located at 1113 W. Michigan Avenue. The complex houses 4 ballfields, concession stand and play equipment. The areas within the ballfields, (infields) shall be mowed on Monday's and Thursday’s to a height of 2.5-3". The areas outside the fence and outside the ballfield's (area around concession stand, around play equipment), are to be mowed once a week to 3- 4" as specified in the "Frequency of Mowing" section. Weed whipping along the fencing shall be done every other week. The total area to be mowed is approximately 600,000 SQFT. Any fertilization or irrigation will be handled and invoiced separately. The map is included in Attachment A. Site 2. Marshall Industrial Park is located off Old 27 south; to the East between Oliver drive and Wooley Drive. Mowing is exclusive to the right-of-way areas. Entire lots are NOT to be mowed. The City requests that this are look desirable to potential commercial businesses. A map is attached with areas in black crosshatch of where service is requested. The area to be mowed is approximately 87,000 SQFT. The map is included in Attachment B. Site 3. The City of Marshall Waste Water Treatment Plant is located at 801 Industrial Road. The majority of the area to be mowed is not level and there are some areas with sloped grades where the contractor shall exercise extreme caution. The area to be mowed is approximately 138,000 SQFT. The map is included in Attachment C. Site 4. The City of Marshall Water Plant is located at 832 E Green St. and constructed on a flat open field area. Caution should be used in the area near the river as this area can be wet, sloped and very soft. There is land on the North side of Green Street to be mowed that is approximately 111,000 SQFT, and the area surrounding the plant on the South side of Green Street is approximately 141,000 SQFT. The map is included in Attachment D. Site 5. Marshall Brooks Field (Airport) is located at 1243 S. Kalamazoo Ave. Any area North or West of the Helipad can be visited at any time. To tour the taxiway and runway areas, please make an appointment with the airport manager, Craig Griswold, at 269-330-2908. Areas to be mowed weekly include: a. All grassy areas around the hangars, apron and entrance road. b. Approximately 30' wide clearing along S. Kalamazoo Ave. c. Grass runway adjacent to and parallel to the paved runway d. Approximately 6' clearing along all runway and taxiway surfaces e. Clearing around weather station and segmented circle (both just North of taxiway) f. String trimming is required around fences near parking lots, along back side of main hangar building; around trees and signs in Northwest corner. The map is included in Attachment E.
