a) The Contractor will provide Waters ‘gold ring’ Silica gel DNPH cartridges (Waters Part No. WAT037500) and deliver them to EGLE cold on blue ice. The cartridges must be within the manufacturer’s expiration date. In the event Waters alters their cartridge or part number, the Contractor must notify EGLE and obtain approval of use. b) The Contractor will provide coolers, blue ice, log sheets and pay for all shipping costs to EGLE and from EGLE to the laboratory for analysis. c) EGLE will notify the Contractor when cartridges are needed. The Contractor will ship the cartridges within three (3) days of the request. d) The Contractor will analyze samples following the USEPA Method TO-11A for the following compounds: Formaldehyde, Acetaldehyde, Acetone, Benzaldehyde, Propionaldehyde, Crotonaldehyde, Methacrolein, Methyl Ethyl Ketone, Butyraldehyde, Valeraldehyde, m-Tolualdehyde, and Hexaldehyde. A detailed table, including method detection limits for each compound listed above must be submitted with the Contractors bid. e) The Contractor will follow the EPA NATTS TAD as it pertains to carbonyl analysis, meet the method detection limit requirements (acetaldehyde <0.45 ug/m3 and formaldehyde <0.08 ug/m3), participation annually in the NATTS performance efficiency testing program, and all other reporting requirements. f) The Contractor will submit analysis results electronically in both PDF and Microsoft Excel formats to EGLE as soon as processed, but no later than 30-days after receipt of sample by the Contractor. g) The Contractor will upload the results to the EPA Air Quality System (AQS) database at the end of each calendar quarter for the previous calendar quarter of results. h) Upon request, the Contractor will provide EGLE with a Level IV data package including chromatograms for blanks, QC samples, and calibration points as well as the calibration curve summary and sequences. i) Upon request, the Contractor is to supply sample preparation and analysis standard operating procedures (SOPs) to EGLE.
