Kent County is seeking an EAP provider that can help our employees to effectively manage these professional hardships as well as any personal issues that may arise, helping to enable them to live fulfilling lives. The successful vendor for Kent County’s Employee Assistance Program will provide the services listed below. 1. Assessment Counseling and/or Referral (for employees and members of their household), including: • Initial evaluation to identify problems, brief counseling, or outside referral. • Up to five in-person, one-hour counseling sessions, per incident, for employees and any member of their household (not counting the initial evaluation). • Robust network of providers located in and within a 30-mile radius of Grand Rapids, Michigan including providers who are experienced helping law enforcement officers to deal with the trauma involved with their roles, • Online consultations with licensed counselors available. • Support to transition from EAP to health plan services, if needed. • If requested, willingness to provide dedicated onsite staff support at a negotiable number of hours. Please provide the following information in your RFP response: • Describe the process that you use to determine which counselor will be a good match to meet a given member’s needs. • Describe the process that you use to determine client satisfaction with their assigned counselor. Provide any statistics you may have surrounding client satisfaction with the services provided. • Describe the process that you use to determine whether the counseling was effective. • Describe the minimum qualifications required for a counselor to be added to your network. • Provide a listing of in-network providers in Kent County, including any provider specialties. • Describe the types of events that have caused you to remove counselors from your network. • Describe the process that you use to transition members to services under their healthcare plan. • Provide the average wait time to obtain counseling services beyond the initial intake call or meeting. • Provide your internal policies related to confidentiality of information provided by clients.
