he Contractor must: Assign at least one transporter to transport and supervise eligible youth as directed by the MDHHS assigned caseworker or designee via email referral. From a secure detention facility to an MDHHS secure residential treatment facility or, From an MDHHS secure residential treatment facility to another secure residential treatment facility or a secure detention facility or, Additional transportation services may be permitted, as approved by the Juvenile Justice Bureau. Comply with instructions as directed by the MDHHS referral. Questions which cannot be resolved between the transporters and referring MDHHS staff must be referred to the MDHHS juvenile justice program office immediately. Supervise youth, to ensure the health and safety of staff and youth, including but not limited to prevention of illegal or violent behavior. The transporters are not required to enforce rules and regulations of MDHHS that are not otherwise a breach of the peace or violation of law. Take appropriate law enforcement actions for incident control, if necessary, within the scope of the RDSS transporters training.
