Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractors must demonstrate that they have the resources and capability to provide the janitorial services. The following criteria shall be met in order to be eligible for an Agreement with the City: 1) Contractor shall furnish all supervision, technical personnel, and labor. Competent supervision is to be furnished by the Contractor and the City reserves the right to judge this supervision satisfactory or to require that it be replaced. 2) Contractor is expected to work Monday through Friday. The Kentwood Branch Library is the only exception Contractor is needed Sunday through Thursday from Memorial Day to Labor Day and Sunday through Friday from Labor Day to Memorial Day. 3) Contractor is not expected to work on holidays. The following holidays are observed by the City and City buildings are closed: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve Day, Christmas Day, New Years Eve Day, New Years Day. 4) All proposal prices shall be based on furnishing all labor, equipment, cleaning supplies, and materials required to perform the cleaning work for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and/or annual cleaning in accordance with the Specifications. 5) Contractor shall supply all cleaners, finishes, etc., for treatment of various types of flooring and carpeting. Contractor must use only such materials as are recommended and approved by the flooring manufacturer (to be made available to the awarded contractor). 6) Contractor shall supply all general cleaning products including disinfectants.
