Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Kent County Human Services Complex (KCHSC) is a three (3) story facility with approximately (500) employees. The area to be cleaned is approximately (111,537) square feet. This building encompasses the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, the Kent County Sheldon Health Clinic and the ACSET MiWorks and Community Action departments. Kent County holidays of New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Thanksgiving Friday, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day observed. For State-only holidays such as President’s Day and New Year’s Eve, workers may coordinate with Facilities to arrive early to perform detail cleaning only on floors (2) and (3). Kent County is seeking a custodial contractor that will maintain a professional standard and strictly uphold the specifications set forth in this bid. In an effort to be good stewards of public financial resources and natural resources, it is desired that custodial work be conducted within a reasonable timeframe from commencement to completion each day, permitting lighting and heating/cooling to be minimized.
