Specifications include, but are not limited to: It is the intent of the Kent Intermediate School District ("KISD") also referred to as "The Owner", to solicit proposals from qualified vendors for an "Internet and WAN Performance Monitoring system". Kent ISD has received funding from State of Michigan s Department of Education to be able to assess and log the network performance of all participating local school district and agencies in the state of Michigan. The primary driving force for this project is to assess the readiness of each school districts ability to support reliable unencumbered access to online assessments. The goal of this project is to effectively measure and record the performance (throughput and latency) of each district s ISP connection and to assess whether the district has the ability to conduct online testing. There are a total of 841 K12 entities made up of 547 - Local Education Agencies (LEA), 238 Public School Academies (PSA) and 56 Intermediate School District/Regional Education Service Agencies (ISD/RESA) that are potential partners in the project. The Operations Office of the Technology Readiness Infrastructure Grant (TRIG) will be a key stakeholder in this project. Vendors are requested to propose all of the services being requested.
