Specifications include, but are not limited to: Most school districts within the consortium use private fiber networks for connectivity between their school buildings. However, most school districts connect to Wayne RESA for data and Internet service through the AT&T Opt-E-MAN network. This MPLS Ethernet service offers a speed of up to 1Gb per connection with a maximum of 600 Mb per VLAN. A total of 100 Opt-E-MAN circuits are in use throughout the consortium, some providing connectivity between school buildings within a school district. Pricing for those circuits is established by a master contract with the consortium expiring on June 30, 2017. Vendors responding to this RFP will need to account for any early termination charges when pricing a replacement solution.
