Specifications include, but are not limited to: Decatur Public Schools is seeking bids for interior door security systems. These systems would prevent entry in case of an emergency. Such a system would require installing the system and provide professional development to staff and students. A visual and verbal warning activation when the system is engaged is preferable. The system must be able to work with doors that open to the hallway as well those that open to the room. When the system is engaged, it’s preferred that the system can contact the school administration as well as the local police via mobile devices. It’s preferred that the vendor provides room identification numbering system along with this safety system.
