Tribal Council seeks proposals from qualified, independent mediators or conflict-resolution professionals to conduct a neutral review of employee relations concerns that have been presented to Council. The mediator will assess documentation, interview relevant parties, and facilitate dialogue toward a fair and culturally grounded resolution. The selected firm will be expected to: 1. Review and Assessment ○ Examine documentation, correspondence, or testimony provided to Tribal Council. ○ Identify areas of policy, communication, or procedural breakdown between staff, management, or governing bodies. 2. Mediation and Facilitation ○ Conduct confidential interviews and mediation sessions with affected parties. ○ Support recommendations consistent with LTBB employment policies, sovereignty, and Odawa values. 3. Findings and Recommendations ○ Deliver a confidential written report to Tribal Council outlining verified findings and suggested paths for resolution, policy clarification, or training. 4. Cultural Competence ○ Approach the process in a way that respects Odawa governance systems, kinship-based accountability, and confidentiality requirements under Tribal law.
