Flooring A. Demolition & Removal • Removal of cove base from existing walls • Removal of flooring from classroom Numbers 124,126,127, 128, 129, 130, 131 • Please include in base bid removal of the current floor and disposal of flooring, prep and required testing of substrate to meet manufacturers specifications listed. • Please include protection for flooring outside of the work area and adjacent to the work area. Any damage done to areas outside of work area while performing work will be required to fixed by contractor at their expense. • Removal of flooring in entrance way 7 and 10 and prep for new surface. • The contractor is responsible for protecting all surrounding finishes, walls, floors, and surfaces during demolition. • Any damage to walls, flooring, paint, tile, or other finishes caused during demolition or removal must be repaired or replaced at the contractor’s expense to restore original condition. • Classroom furniture and items in closet’s will be removed prior to contractor’s work. B. Installation of Flooring • The installer must be certified in Forbo Flooring and meet the requirements of Forbo Flooring specifications. • Floor will be prepped to meet Forbo Specifications for a Corkment Underlayment. • Installation of underlayment prior to installation of the MCT 3629 Frosty Grey. • Flooring to be installed to specifications requirements of Forbo flooring to allow the floor to be covered by warranty provided by Forbo. • A complete finished safe product is to be provided. • A new wall base to be installed after flooring is installed. 6 inch to match color of floor. Color Match C. Transitions • Please include protection for flooring outside of the work area and adjacent to the work area. Any damage done to areas outside of work area while performing work will be required to fixed by contractor at their expense. • Please include transitions between different types of floors that may encounter the new flooring being installed. D. Finishing Work • Patch, repair, and finish any surface impacted by the scope of work, including wall touch-ups, paint, or flooring adjustments. • Final cleaning of work area upon completion.
