Construction work will consist of cleaning, removing moss and debris, and preparing cedar shakes on 3 homes: Baraga, Schoolcraft, and Johnston Homes, for final restoration and sealing. Dimensions of the homes to give a reference for roof sizes: 1. Baraga House – 32’ x 30’; 2. Schoolcraft House; a. West Dependency – 20’ x 21’; b. Main House – 34’ x 34’; c. East Dependency – 20’ x 21’; d. Front Porch – 7’ x 75’; e. West Breezeway – 12’ x 12’; f. East Breezeway – 12’ x 12’; 3. Johnston House – 30’ x 40’; 4. Fix existing damaged or rotted cedar shakes if discovered. The goal is to have clean, sealed roofs, that will deter bugs and future rot, saving our assets. Any material disposal will be the responsibility of the contractor.
