Hazardous waste transportation, recycling and disposal request for proposal for Kalamazoo County’s Household Hazardous Waste Center located at 1301 Lamont Avenue, through its Health & Community Services Department, Kalamazoo, Michigan. One per pound price for all waste streams that is all inclusive is required. Price must include packing materials (cubic yard boxes and liners, labels, drums and pallets), driver, fuel, etc. No additional or separate fees will be considered. If the HHW Center incurs costs from a third party for cubic yard boxes or pallets, reimbursement via a credit at equal value is required. Proposal packages that provide a single price for all waste streams will be deemed more responsive than packages with multiple prices. The contractor’s principal role will be to pick up fully loaded cubic yard boxes and drums; accept legal generator status and arrange for transport and recycling/disposal. The HHW Center typically requires twelve (12) pick‐ups per year. In the winter months a pick‐up may be cancelled, and additional pick‐ups may be required in the summer. Thursday morning is the preferred shipping day and time.
