Specifications include, but are not limited to: ZOO SECURITY Shift #1 will begin at 4 PM and end at 12 AM. One Guard. *From approximately May 15th to approximately September 15th, an additional Park guard will be required from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Shift #2 will begin at 12 AM and end at 7 AM. One Guard. Shift #1 officer(s) will carry a hand held radio (supplied by JBZ) until evening keepers leave for the day. Shift #1 will make a minimum of three complete inspection rounds of the Zoo grounds and park facilities as assigned. Round #1 will commence at approximately 6 PM. Round #2 will commence at approximately 8:00 PM and Round #3 at approximately 10:30 pm. Shift #2 will make a minimum of three inspection rounds of Zoo grounds and park facilities as assigned. Round #1 will commence at approximately 12:30 AM, round #2 at approximately 3 AM and round #3 at approximately 6 AM. Guards are required to randomize their rounds to prevent development of an established routine. During summer months when Zoo is open until 6 PM security officers will continually patrol the Zoo site between 4 PM and 6 PM. Guards are not to congregate in one place during this time. Each shift officer will carry a touch probe to log their rounds, touch probe to be provided by contractor. Each guard will also carry a cell phone provided by the contractor at all times throughout their shift.
