The selected Consultant will provide design engineering services to prepare project repair/rehabilitation plans, proposal and supporting documents of the structural and electrical components and replace the mechanical bridge machinery. Additionally, the Consultant will assist the Township in advertising, bidding, evaluating and awarding the construction contract to the selected Contractor. The Consultant will also provide Construction Engineering and Inspection services for the project. Detailed scope elements are listed below: Updating Michigan Bridge Management and Inspection System (MiBRIDGE) The Consultant will update the bridge file in the MiBRIDGE system for all non-compliance items. Following is a list of all items that need to be updated in the MiBRIDGE system: An underwater bridge inspection has been performed for bridge. The inspection report is available and will be uploaded to the MiBRIDGE. A load rating analysis has been completed for the bridge. The Consultant will upload the load rating analysis and supporting documentation including required forms to MiBRIDGE. Perform a scour assessment for the bridge and prepare a scour action plan if necessary. Upload the scour assessment and scour action plan to MiBRIDGE. Update any missing information in MiBRIDGE from the information available in the recent Bridge Inspection Report. Structural Scope Remove and replace the open grid deck on the swing span and the concrete filled grid deck on the fixed approach spans as well as removing and replacing the bridge approaches. Remove and replace the existing bridge railing. Clean and coat the entire superstructure steel.
