Provide primary distribution services for Fish Seafood, and related products.. The overall objectives are to establish a strategic alliance with a protein distributor to obtain Best Value in the procurement of food and food related supplies for the University. As part of this effort, The University is currently examining all of its current and potential supplier relationships. The objectives of this strategic sourcing initiative are: (1) Designate a strategic supplier and work in partnership with that supplier to make the procurement of food and food related supplies at the University a high quality, seamless, cost effective, and efficient process. (2) To partner with a strategic supplier that can share University’s commitment to health and wellness. (3) To partner with a strategic supplier that can share University’s commitment to sustainability and resilience in the food system. (4) Insure a continual supply of high quality nutritious food products. (5) Take full advantage of all opportunities to utilize technology to contribute to cost savings and efficiencies. (6) Cooperatively establish processes that will continually improve the level of service delivered to University. (7) Ensure Local, State & Federal Compliance.
