● Create a park for hosting community gatherings and events with walkways and benches/seating areas. ● Use the original brick wall to create a welcoming and accessible entrance (After the fire the structure was stabilized but still requires additional stabilization work). ● Utilize as much of the historic brick as possible, using matching brick where needed. ● Provide space for interpretive/acknowledgement panels. The Niles History Center will assist with content. ● Share the school's history with interpretive signs. ● The design should be based on concept drawing examples provided in this document. ● Handicapped Ramp(s) shall be included to make the park easily accessible. ● Provide electric power with locked covers to prevent unauthorized use. ● Provide and install environmentally friendly-solar lights. ● Keep in mind that this is to be a low maintenance design. ● The property dimensions are 132’ X 132’ ● Provide up to three (3) separate designs and cost proposals. ● Total Project budget not to exceed $140,000
