The RFP is to procure a provider for Batterer Intervention Services which will provide Comprehensive Intake Assessment and Lethality Evaluations and Batterer Intervention Group Sessions. The provider will meet with each referred client and family within 10 working days of written MDHHS referral and complete a comprehensive intake assessment and lethality evaluation of the referred individual, the non-offending parent and their children as described in the Batterer Intervention Standards for the State of Michigan. The provider will also conduct group sessions for a minimum of 26 weeks to address identification and confrontation of abusive and controlling behaviors, the effects of violence and abuse of victims, promotion of responsibility and accountability, identification of cultural and social influences that contribute to abusive behavior and identification and practice of non-threatening and non-abusive forms of behavior.
