SCOPE OF WORK Engineering, design, and project oversight services for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Primary Improvements include, but are not limited to: Manufacturer Recommendation: a. Assist the City with equipment/manufacturer research and investigation. b. Potentially assist the City with price negotiations if the purchase of equipment happens before the rest of the project goes out for bid. Equipment that needs to be addressed at a minimum: a. Drive mechanism. b. All skimmer and sludge collection equipment. c. Effluent weirs. d. Coatings of tanks and effluent launders. e. Coating of the flocculation channel. f. Flow monitoring equipment. g. Any structural repairs that need to be addressed on the interior or exterior of the tanks or channels. Design Phase – Technical Specifications for a Design, Bid, Build Project Strategy: a. Review the report from the inspection work completed in 2024. b. Prepare technical specifications and drawings at 60%, 90%, and 100%. c. Assume that the construction will be done as one project, not a phased approach. d. Advise the City of additional reports, data, information, or services that may be necessary, and assist the City in obtaining such materials. e. Furnish and review drawings and specifications. f. Furnish an opinion of probable construction cost. g. In response to the City’s comments, as appropriate, make revisions. h. Ensure design meets local and established codes and standards for safety, reliability, and performance.
