Specifications include, but are not limited to: For the conceived network, the required OSP network infrastructure being sought has been divided into 65 proposed network path segments. Each network path segment is considered a Core path or a Spur/lateral path. In the attached KMZ map, core paths are colored green and spur paths are colored purple. EUP is prepared to enter lease or IRU agreements for dark fiber strands, obtain WDM for equivalent fiber strands and/or obtain Leased Lit Fiber/Services Provided over Third-Party Networks for each network path segment defined below and described in the conceived KMZ map that is made part of this RFP. Forty-eight educational and twenty-one library service point locations are listed in Attachment A with summary information for the route summaries listed in Section 8.2. Service Points listed in the same attachment should be evaluated in the overall engineering of each route. Each network path segment described is a “conceived” path and not a preferred path. Respondents are encouraged to understand the intent of the conceived design which is to create a robust network with path diversity for resiliency and to serve each educational and library service point listed in this RFP. For Leased Dark Fiber solutions, EUP is asking for 24 fiber strands, and/or equivalent capacity for WDM solutions, on each described network path segment listed below. A network path segment is a path between network element points that either terminate in and/or pass within drop distance of a network element point. A network element point is defined as a service point, an electronics hut or a spur/splice point. Proposals to provide each network path segment will be evaluated individually and must include all material and labor required to provide the path segment to EUP as a working and tested physical path product. This includes splicing and records for each fiber stand along the path segments and access points/splice along each network path segment. This also includes physical network drops to service points along the network path segment. EUP shall have the ability to add service points to the network at any time by extending fiber from an existing network element point or from a splice point along any network path proposed by Respondent. Electronics necessary to light the network created by the proposed fiber path segments will be required at each service point location and at each electronics hut location. When proposing fiber path segments, respondents must include all electronics required to light the network. Likewise, costs for maintenance should be included. Leased Lit service or Services Provided Over Third-Party Networks service offerings must both be proposed as a 100% fully managed services, that include all electronics at each site
