Specifications include, but are not limited to: TBAISD is seeking a proposal for a technology solution that meets the following criteria: ● Provides true enterprise class zero downtime storage environment in support of TBAISD’s critical services ● Zero downtime means that system will not go down for any planned or unplanned downtime (99.9999+ uptime) ● Storage system that can scale to the hundreds of Terabyte range ● Storage solution will need to be able to spin up the districts servers in case of primary data center failure ● Leverages current investments in technologies and training in environment (VMware, EMC) ● Solution must be a high-performing unified storage platform that is simple, efficient, optimized for virtual applications, and characterized by the highest levels of protection, compliance, and ease of management. ● Solution must be scoped out in usable capacity ● Solution must have 80+TB of usable space after provisioning ● Solution must be on the VMware compatibility list ● Solution must have Redundant Controllers ● Solution must have Dual Active/Active Controllers ● Solution should implement a no Single Point of Failure (SPOF) architecture. ● Solution must be able to support Flash Drives to maximize performance with minimum footprint and power consumption. ● Solution must support 16Gb Fibre Channel for storage network connectivity ● Solution should also include 2 fibre channel 16Gb switches, minimum of 12 ports each, with the option of expanding to 24. ● Solution will also require 3 PCI-E 16Gb fibre channel HBAs
