The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), through the Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB), is seeking proposals from qualified Contractors to serve as the System Integrator (SI) for the Data Integration & Warehouse Design (DIWD) program. The selected Contractor will design and implement a modern, cloud-based Integrated Data Analytics Platform (IDAP) that supports near-real-time data integration, governance, storage, and enterprise reporting. This initiative aims to enhance MDOT’s ability to make data-driven decisions, revamp how data is shared between systems, improved data quality, and enable advanced analytics by consolidating and harmonizing data across systems. The proposed solution must align with the State’s multi-cloud infrastructure, adhere to enterprise security and governance standards, and support scalability, interoperability, and long-term sustainability. The selected Contractor will be responsible for delivering a fully implemented IDAP solution using cloud technology that integrates with existing systems, supports both real-time and batch data ingestion, enables robust data governance and metadata management, and provides tools for analytics, reporting, and visualization. The first implementation will focus on the road construction job lifecycle. Additional deliverables include system documentation, training, knowledge transfer, and a transition plan to self-sufficiency. Full details of the required deliverables and technical specifications are outlined throughout this RFP document.
