PERFORMED DAILY: Type "A" Cleaning (and as needed) 1) Collect, pick up, and dispose of discarded rubbish of all kinds, both inside and outside the facilities, including outside trash cans and ash trays or sand urns. Placing same in the proper rubbish dumpsters at the end of each shift. Contractor must make sure all cigarettes are extinguished and shall maintain the surrounding area of dumpsters at all times. No loose trash is to be left on the ground. 2) Empty all waste containers, replace plastic liners, and wash out when spillage occurs or as needed. Remove all debris to approved trash pick-up point. 3) Sweep cement floors and dust mop or machine buff all finished floor areas completely, including adjacent ramps and stairways. 4) Wet mop or power scrub heavy traffic areas of floors in bad weather as directed, including ramps and stairways. 5) Damp wipe all furniture completely including all desks (taking care not to apply damp cloth on papers or blotters), chairs, lamps, telephones, filing cabinets, window sills, ledges, hand railings, etc. Note: The contractor shall prohibit employees from cleaning or tampering with computer terminals and screens, disturbing papers on desks, opening desk drawers or cabinets, or using telephone or office equipment provided for official use. 6) Vacuum clean all floor mats, permanently carpeted floors and spot clean as needed. At the start of this contract all carpeted areas shall be deep cleaned prior to starting the routine cleaning. 7) Damp wipe glass tops on desks and counter tops to remove fingerprints and other marks. 8) Clean, sanitize and polish all drinking fountains using non-abrasive materials. 9) Clean door glass at all entrances, display cases, and other interior glass, elevator interior, including adjacent metal surfaces. 10) Remove graffiti, tape and tape residue left on walls.
