Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Mark all stands according to specifications listed in the Timber Marking Specifications, and specific details obtained at the pre-work meeting. 2. Cruise all stands according to specifications listed in the Timber Cruising Specifications, and specific details obtained at the pre-work meeting 3. All cutting and payment boundary paint lines are to be painted by the contractor in the approximate locations as shown on the map. PU 1 (VDU 19) - Cut all species 2 inches and greater at DBH, except do not cut cedar and hemlock where present. Acreage may change depending on ground conditions when set up. PU 2 (VDU 53) - Cut all species down to 4 inches at DBH. Leave all cedar. No retention due to small size. PU 3 (VDU 55) - Cut all species down to 4 inches at DBH. Leave all cedar. No retention due to small size. PU 4 (VDU 80) - Cut all species 2 inches and greater at DBH. Don't cut any white pine under 6 inches at DBH. PU 5 (VDU 86) - Cut all deciduous 2 inches or greater at DBH. Cut all conifers 4 inches or greater at DBH. Do not cut any cedar or hemlock. Leave some cherry. Cut in dry summer or winter because of ground conditions. Leave 3-10% retention where deemed best by the person setting up the stand. Acreage may change depending on ground conditions when set up.
