Specifications include, but are not limited to: Stand 2: M-66 to Graves Crossing Rd, east on GC Rd .6 miles to gated access road. Stand 22: M-66 to Green River Rd, east 1/2 mile. Stands 2 and 22: Thin stands down to 80 BA. Mark out regeneration gaps at 100-150 feet in diameter; create at least 1 gap for every 5 acres. Most of the beech should be marked to cut; leave any over mature, large crowned beech for wildlife trees. Paint marks on hills should face upslope/downslope. Manage for the best tree in place. Remove poorly formed and defective trees. Stump marks are to be placed from the ground up one foot, clearly visible in the crotch of the stump. Treat clumps as one tree; either mark all trees or leave all trees. Delineated regeneration gaps must be marked with green paint, using a V on the inside of the gap and a slash on the outside.
