Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.1.1. All Exterior doors should have alarms installed that are compatible with the district’s current alarm system. Information regarding the district’s existing alarm system will be available during the pre-bid meeting and walkthrough. The access control system must allow staff to view the current state of a door (e.g. Open, Closed) and provide event based alerts. 1.1.2. New digital video surveillance systems that allow real-time monitoring of front entrances to visually identify visitors and have two-way voice/audio communication. Front entrance system must also allow staff to allow or deny entry remotely. 1.1.3. Existing digital and analog surveillance systems in the district should be replaced. Existing cameras may be used if compatible and not within a year or the models end-oflife. Locations currently without surveillance systems should have surveillance systems installed. Proposed camera systems should prioritize covering exterior doors, school hallways, and other highly traffic areas (e.g., lunch rooms, gymnasiums, media centers, front offices, parking lots).
