Ionia Dial-A-Ride (IDART), a department of the City of Ionia, is seeking a firm to complete a Coordination of Service Plan (CSP) and a Transit Development Plan (TDP). The CSP shall build upon the existing plan, identify any gaps or insufficiencies, recommend additional coordination and/or partners, identify potential funding and/or investment partners, and develop an appropriate action plan to address the objectives in the near future and over the next several years. The TDP shall build upon and formulate the goals and objectives of IDART, review existing transit demand in the City of Ionia and its surrounding townships, identify unmet transportation needs in the current service area and the surrounding areas without service, assess public perception of IDART, and develop an appropriate action plan to address the objectives in the near future and over the next several years. The demand for transportation in the current service area and to/from the current service area to surrounding communities has significantly increased in recent years. Based on this information, a more countywide and/or regionally coordinated transit system shall be considered.
