This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) for: Understanding Wildlife-Related Needs, Interests, and Concerns of Historically Underrepresented Groups; DNR Wildlife Division will use the results of this inquiry to inform the development of a staff engagement guide. As such, this project is an effort to understand needs and interests of historically underrepresented partners relative to the work of the DNR WLD. Goals for this project include documenting and reporting to DNR data on: • Wildlife-related behaviors, attitudes, and beliefs of historically underrepresented and under-engaged interested parties in Michigan • Wildlife-related needs, interests, and concerns of historically underrepresented and under-engaged interested parties in Michigan • Opportunities for improved engagement, partnership, and collaboration by DNR WLD with historically underrepresented and under-engaged interested parties in Michigan Activities include, but are not limited to, identification of potential new partners, focus group inquiry with potential new partners, potential actions DNR WLD should take to engage, and reporting on findings to DNR WLD staff. The work will involve meeting with a DNR WLD project team to collaborate on approach to addressing project goals. The Contractor will work in conjunction with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources Wildlife Division (DNR WLD). It is the purpose of this RFP to secure the services of a contractor to develop, implement, and synthesize findings from an approach to further DNR WLD understanding of the needs, interests, and concerns of potential underrepresented partners relative to the work of WLD.
