Specifications include, but are not limited to: Qualified firms to provide uniformed and armed, security and escort services, for approximately 30 cruise ships scheduled to visit the CITY between May and October of 2022. Cruise Ship Schedule included. The requested “uniformed and armed, security and escort services” are summarized below. All services must be conducted in accordance with the City of Sault Ste. Marie Facilities Security Plan (“FSP”), where/when applicable. 1) Provide security at the ship docking location. 2) Crowd management and control; prevent access of non-authorized persons to restricted and secured areas at the ship docking location. 3) Escort passenger transport vehicle(s) from the ship docking location to US Customs and Border Protection; when needed (international ships). 4) Provide security during off and on-loading of passengers, personal effects, and cargo at the ship docking location. 5) Physical screening of persons, personal effects, baggage, cargo, vehicles, and vessel stores at the ship docking location. 6) Credential check and verification of employees, passengers, visitors, and contractors at the ship docking location.
