Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1)Prior to the first snowfall, Contractor shall examine the sidewalks and carefully note the route of each section as it may meander from a straight line, also taking care to note potential obstructions along the routes. 2)For the duration of the Contract, Contractor shall plow the sidewalks at locations as indicated above (Item 2.C.)when snow accumulations reach a depth of twoor more inches. Contractor shall be responsible for checking the snow depth at various locations to determineifplowing is required. A representative of the City (and/or his designee) shall be assigned to supervise the Services (the “City’s Project Manager”)and shall be authorized to make the final determination when Contractor questions the minimum accumulation of snow. 3)If, in the opinion of the City’s Project Manager, sidewalks which have been plowed by Contractor are subsequently covered with snow by City or County streetplows, or when wind conditions cause moderate to heavy drifting of snow, Contractor will be notifiedto re-plow these sections of walks.4)All sidewalks will be plowed to within a height of one-half inchof the surface and will be completed within twenty-fourhoursafter an average accumulation of twoor more inches. a.Normal plowing hours are8:00 PM to 7:00 AM except under unusual circumstances. b.Contractor shall begin plowing the same night if the minimum accumulation of snow has occurred prior to 5:00 AM. c.If the accumulation occurs after 5:00 AM, the plowing may then be scheduled for thenext regularplowing time.5)Contractor shallhave equipment and staff to adequately perform the specified Services. In the event of mechanical breakdown of trucks or equipment, Contractor shall be expected to provide back-up service so that the snowplowing will be performed as requested.
