The State of Michigan-DMVA requires seasonal Structural and Vehicle Fire, Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting, Confined Space, Water and Technical Rescue, Emergency Medical and HAZMAT/CBRN response services for Camp Grayling Army Airfield, M.A.T.E.S. and backup services for Camp Grayling Joint Maneuver Center areas covered under a separate Substation Fire Services contract, located in the geographical jurisdiction the Grayling City/Township Fire department. Services must be provided by a political subdivision of the state of Michigan, including, but not limited to, a county, township, city, village, or district. Services must be performed within the guidance set by the Department of Defense Fire and Emergency Services Program DoDI 6055.06. The regulation requires the vendor meet minimum response times for aircraft rescue and firefighting (ARFF)of five (5) minutes for unannounced first arriving company and one (1) minute for announced first arriving company.
