The replacement pump is to be sized based on flowing 150 gpm of water and being delivered to the inlet connection of the spray water system at a nominal pressure of 2 psig. The water treater is to be asked to initially modify the treatment regimen to passivate the galvanized steel surfaces to protect against the formation of white rust. White rust is an aggressive corrosion which attacks galvanized steel surfaces if they're not properly treated.
