Specifications include, but are not limited to: Replace a 1978-vintage BAC model VNC-110A evaporative condenser and cooling tower stand Reject 100 tons of heat using R-22 with a 105 degree condensing temperature, 15 degree suction temperature, and 78 degree wet bulb temperature Galvanized steel construction Galvanized steel coil PVC drift eliminators Centrifugal fan design One (1) 10 HP, single speed, inverter rated fan motor Provide oversized outlet to allow spray water to return via gravity to the cold well Provide less the spray pump (existing spray pump to be reused) Provide less the water level controls The existing spray water pump is to be replaced. The replacement pump is to be sized based on flowing 150 gpm of water and being delivered to the inlet connection of the spray water system at a nominal pressure of 2 psig. The water treater is to be asked to initially modify the treatment regimen to passivate the galvanized steel surfaces to protect against the formation of white rust. White rust is an aggressive corrosion which attacks galvanized steel surfaces if they're not properly treated.
