The County of Marquette, acting in its capacity as the CDBG Grant Administrator, is seeking a Michigan Licensed Contractor and Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting Program (RRP) certified firm with at least one RRP certified renovator for the rehabilitation of a single family residential home located at 323 Marquette St, Ishpeming, MI 49849. Project specifications consist of: 1. Drain Tile Installation in back of house (North Side) Removal of existing material. Dispose of any clay waste material. Excavate down to floor depth outside front of crawl space. Furnish and install water proofing to back crawlspace wall. Furnish and place perforated drain tile across back of house. Furnish and place solid pipe from back of house to daylight. Backfill back of house wall with washed stone. Furnish and place geotextile fabric over the stone. Furnish and place clean sand over solid pipe grade and compact. Furnish and place screened topsoil to all disturbed areas of yard. Hand grade and establish a swale along the back deck and around the East side of the home. Hand seed yard. Furnish and place straw mulch blanket. 2. Gutter Installation Install gutters around whole home diverting water away from back yard. 3. Chimney Leak Repair Check the chimney flashing for gaps, dirt, leaves and remove any loose sealant. Patch any cracks in the chimney, apply sealant. 4. Crock and Sump Installation Position and outline basin, cutting a hole in basement floor and dig a 3-foot hole. Wrap with filter fabric and place basin in hole, add gravel and level. Place sump pump, run drainage pipe and fill hole with concrete. Fire Alarm and Carbon Monoxide Detectors Install wireless smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors on each dwelling floor and in all bedrooms. If already existing, ensure they are functioning. Any paint disturbed is assumed to be lead and must be addressed by interim controls. Installation and construction shall be completed in accordance with the applicable provisions of the 2015 Michigan Residential Code. Must complete cleanup and removal of all waste and dispose of in an approved facility in accordance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
