Specifications include, but are not limited to: Material & Specifications: Both applications shall adhere to traditional dry screen and coat process, including a thorough cleaning process to remove debris from flooring to ensure satisfactory adhesion of the new coating. Vendors must describe in detail their cleaning process in their bid response. For example, solutions or equipment used at each stage of the refinishing process to perform a quality job are items to include in the Vendors description. The coating product to be used must be Bona All-Court Oil-based finish. Frequency of service: Application 1 (summer) typically completed late July Area = Entire gymnasium floor (approximately 17,000 square feet Application 2 (winter) typically completed around Thanksgiving or Christmas Breaks, depending on Basketball schedule) Area = the main “blacktop” floor inclusive of the black border and boundaries. The Contractor must complete each application within 2 days or 48 hours, and accommodate the requested window of application time, based on Application 1 & 2 dates, with a minimum 3 week notice by the Project Manager. Note – In most cases, dates for service would be set months in advance of the application.
