Professional design and construction administration services to produce a construction bid package for the construction of a new GSI parking lot and reconnection of Vista Ave. on Belle Isle. Parking lot design elements: a. to incorporate vegetated green stormwater infrastructure (GSI) demonstraƟon project at the former Belle Isle Zoo site. b. A minimum of 110 spaces to be provided, X ADA spaces. c. Site design to opƟmize visibility, naƟve planƟngs and opportunity to support biodiversity and habitat and interpretaƟon of site funcƟon. d. This GSI installaƟon will also provide public educaƟon and build awareness around GSI in Detroit through interpreƟve signage at the site. i. InterpreƟve feature to be engaging and universally accessible to a diverse community of park visitors. ii. Signage should include recogniƟon of “The Nature Conservancy” and TNC’s donors (as idenƟfied by TNC) that supported this project, with such recogniƟon to be a form reasonably acceptable to TNC. iii. Signage to be sited to opƟmize GSI visibility within site and interpretaƟon.
